Improving Critical Thinking Skill Through Team-based Projects, is it Effective?

Facing the 21st-century learning era, critical thinking skills are very important for students and become one of goals education in higher education. To achieve these educational goals, is needed that can form critical, innovative, creative, competitive students. This study aims to improve students' on materials developing rural urban areas a sustainable manner wetlands, through team-based project model. research uses pre-experimental design with group pretest-posttest. The sample used was 47 students, formed into 11 groups. model carried out six steps, namely 1) initial orientation, 2) identification problems (cases), 3) planning, 4) implementation, 5) presenting results, 6) evaluating results. Data processing using pretest posttest, normality test (Shapiro Wilk), homogeneity (Lavene test) analyzed paired t-test. results stated there differences outcomes after improving wetlands. because integrate theory practicum by producing products projects articles national journals. So, it be implied each subject, both theory-based practical, skills.
